Weekend anchor Zach Fisher is leaving WHO 13 after 4 ½ years with the TV station. He’ll be moving to KCTV5 in Kansas City in January.
He’s reported on politics and local stories during his time here. During his last Sunday segment, Fisher said he was born just blocks away from the WHO studio.
“I was raised in central Iowa, watching the television giants on WHO, hoping to be able to someday grace the same studio,” Fisher said during the segment. “And now I can report back to 5-year-old Zach that we did it.”
And yes, he does love to go fishing. He especially loves fishing for largemouth bass.
