One of the signs of the start of summer is Adventureland Resort opening its gates to the public.
The 2025 year marks Adventureland’s 51st season. The Altoona-based amusement park has a number of new attractions.
Adventureland was recently purchased by Herschend, a family-owned operator of themed attractions like Dollywood and Silver Dollar City. Palace Entertainment, a subsidiary of Spain-based Parques Reunidos, acquired Adventureland Resort in January 2022, ending almost five decades of local ownership of the park.
When does Adventureland open in 2025?
Adventureland opens for the 2025 season at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17. Festivities start once the amusement park opens, with the first 1,000 guests receiving a free commemorative Adventureland button.
When does Adventure Bay open for 2025?
Adventure Bay Water Park will open the following weekend, with its first day on Saturday, May 24. Its last day of the year will be Monday, Sept. 1.

How to get Adventureland tickets
One-day pass tickets to Adventureland are $69.99. There are limited deals to kick off the summer season, allowing guests to save up to 40% off one-day passes before June 30. There are also 2025 season passes available for sale at Adventureland’s website.
