Meet new Pella Corp. CEO and president Emily Videtto

A proven company executive will take the top role at Pella Corp., effective July 1.

Emily Videtto, president and chief operating officer of the window and door maker since 2024, has been named the successor to retiring CEO Tim Yaggi, the company announced Wednesday, May 6. She has been with the company since 2016 and also has served as executive vice president of sales and marketing and vice president and chief marketing officer.

She will retain the title of president in her new role.

Between its 18 manufacturing locations and more than 200 showrooms across the U.S. and Canada, including in Urbandale, Pella employs more than 10,000 people. Its products also are sold at the Lowe’s home improvement chain, which has 1,751 U.S. stores.

The company’s main ―and largest ― manufacturing facility is in Pella, its headquarters town and namesake, where it is the city’s largest employer. The company also has Iowa factories in Shenandoah, Carroll and Sioux Center; multiple plants in Texas and Florida; and a plant apiece in Oregon, California, Arizona, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

“I am honored to lead a company I’ve grown with and deeply believe in,” Videtto said in a news release. “Our success is grounded in an ambitious growth strategy and a culture of bold caring, and I’m committed to carrying that forward while championing our broader purpose of providing great careers for our team members, exceptional experiences and innovative solutions for our customers and continued investment in the communities Pella serves.”

Before joining Pella, Videtto rose to vice president of residential marketing and new product development at GAF, North America’s largest roofing manufacturer. She serves on the board of directors of American Woodmark Corp., a publicly traded cabinet manufacturer based in Winchester, Virginia.

She also is a member of the board of the Window and Door Manufacturers Association, serving on the executive committee, and was 2024-25 board chair. She is a graduate of Indiana University and completed Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development.

Yaggi had served in the top role at Pella since 2016. The company has doubled its revenue growth and experienced a fourfold increase in profitability during his tenure, according to the news release.

“After 10 years, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built and the team across our family of brands who made it possible,” Yaggi said in the news release. “Emily has been a trusted partner and driving force behind our growth and operations. Her deep expertise, proven enterprise leadership and exceptional character, make her uniquely prepared to build on the momentum of the past decade and lead Pella confidently into the future.”

The release said Videtto was instrumental in Pella’s development and marketing of the Pella Steady Set window installation system, a product currently in the Final Four for the 2026 title of Coolest Thing Made in Iowa. In an interview with the Des Moines Register in 2025, when the company was celebrating its 100th anniversary, Videtto said the increased efficiency of Steady Set makes window installation more efficient.

“As a company, we are thinking about innovative solutions that reduce the overall cost of installation of windows,” she said.

Pella started with investment in Des Moines’ Rollscreen Corp.

The transition to Videtto from Yaggi “reflects a deliberate and well-planned succession process led by the company’s Board of Directors,” Pella said in its news release.

Adam Farver, chair of Pella’s board, praised Yaggi’s leadership.

“Under his leadership, the company strengthened its market standing and is well-positioned for the future,” Farver said.

He expressed optimism about Videtto in her new role.

“There is no one better than Emily Videtto to build on that momentum,” he said. “Emily is a visionary leader who has been central to shaping Pella’s growth strategy and operating model. She brings deep knowledge of the business and industry, proven results, and an unwavering commitment to Pella’s customers, culture and people.”

Pella got started in 1925 when Pete and Lucille Kuyper invested in Des Moines-based Rollscreen Corp., a screen that rolled up like a window shade, and moved its manufacturing to Pella, their hometown. The company, still privately owned by Kuyper descendants, adopted the Pella name in 1992.

It now makes more than 150 products.
