As the 2025-26 season nears, Iowa women’s basketball recently completed its team media sessions ahead of the new campaign.
The Hawkeyes’ star athletes donned the black and gold for the first time in 2025-26, posing for individual photos and plenty of team pictures as well as the squad readies for what it hopes is a return toward the top of the Big Ten and a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.
With head coach Jan Jensen entering her second season at the helm of the program, the future of the program is seemingly getting brighter with each passing day. Iowa continues to attract attention from the nation’s top recruits and Hawkeye fans were ecstatic as Iowa recently secured a commitment from five-star forward McKenna Woliczko.
As the Iowa athletics staff compiles its media portfolio for the upcoming season, a number of Hawkeye players gave fans a sneak peek of what to expect. Players from all levels of experience took to social media to share some of the fun from the team’s media shoot.

The Hawkeyes open with an exhibition date on Oct. 30 against Ashland and then begin their regular season on Nov. 3 against the Southern Jaguars. Both games are home dates from Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
While broadcast information and tipoff times have yet to be announced, both games will be available on the airwaves through the Hawkeye Radio Network.
