As Iowa women’s basketball hosts coveted 2026 five-star recruit Addison Bjorn on her official visit, the program took the prized small forward to Kinnick Stadium for Saturday’s Hawkeye football game against No. 12 Indiana.
The 6-foot-2 standout is the No. 9 recruit nationally, the No. 2 small forward and the top player in the state of Missouri in the 2026 class on the 247Sports composite. Out of Park Hill South High School in Riverside, Bjorn is one of the country’s premier talents.
Bjorn took in a thrilling football game between the Hawkeyes and Hoosiers, too.
During her trip to Kinnick Stadium, Bjorn was spotted alongside multiple Iowa players and coaches, including sophomore guard Taylor Stremlow, who was instrumental in hosting fellow 2026 five-star recruit McKenna Woliczko on her visit over Labor Day weekend.
Iowa will continue to put its best foot forward in impressing the superstar wing and showing her what the Hawkeyes and Iowa City has to offer.
If Iowa women’s basketball coach Jan Jensen and the Hawkeyes can secure Bjorn’s commitment, along with Woliczko and the talented core already on campus, the sky will be the limit for Iowa in the years to come. Bjorn is another transformational talent.
Bjorn averaged 22 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.3 steals per game during her junior season at Park Hill South High School en route to being recognized as the 2025 Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year.
While Bjorn still has visits scheduled to Duke (Oct. 2-5), UConn (Oct. 16-19), Texas (Oct. 30-Nov. 2), and Kansas (Nov. 6-9), the Hawkeyes gave Bjorn a front row seat to witness the passion Iowa has for not only its women’s basketball team, but also throughout all of its athletic programs.
