Not only do the Iowa Hawkeyes have smart, knowledgeable offensive linemen who have been in the scheme for three or four years, but they also produce some incredibly athletic and fundamentally sound linemen who are ready-made for the NFL.
The next in that line, who is certain to hear his name called in the 2026 NFL Draft, and possibly sooner than many thought after his combine performance, is Logan Jones. The Iowa center showed up and dominated the NFL Combine, earning remarks as one of the top graded offensive linemen.
Logan Jones, Iowa
Jones adds depth to an already strong center class. While Iowa linemen are known for physicality, Jones paired that with an impressive athletic showing. From the 40-yard dash to the long pull drill, he consistently showed range. – Josh Edwards, CBS Sports
At his height and weight, Jones still possesses the agility and quickness to battle bigger defensive linemen, which is something he will have to prove he can handle at the next level. With his high football IQ, using his low center of gravity and strength should be a key to getting underneath defensive linemen to win with leverage.
