Iowa football offers 2029 DB Earnest Winters III

As Iowa football looks to the future over the summer months, the Hawkeyes extended an offer to 2029 defensive back Earnest Winters III.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder from Cahokia, Ill., serves as a hybrid talent for Cahokia High School, where he plays safety, running back, and has operated in the return game.

In his freshman season, Winters rushed for 188 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries, recorded 50 tackles and one tackle for loss. Winters also intercepted three passes, returning two for defensive scores. Winters had a kickoff return touchdown last season as well.

Iowa now joins Missouri, Kent State, Miami (Ohio), and fellow Big Ten foes Illinois, Indiana, and Penn State as programs that have offered Winters.
