Iowa basketball welcomed in 2027 four-star point guard Tyrone Jamison Jr. for an official visit on June 14-15 as head coach Ben McCollum aims to add another elite talent to his rapid turnaround of the Hawkeyes’ program.
The 6-foot-1, 155-pound point guard from Shreveport, La., plays for Calvary Baptist Academy and ranks as the No. 44 overall prospect, No. 12 point guard, and No. 2 player in Louisiana in the 2027 class, per 247Sports’ 2027 composite rankings.
The Hawkeyes offered Jamison last August. In addition to Iowa, Jamison took an official visit to Maryland on Jan. 2.
After his Iowa visit, Jamison has visits scheduled to LSU on Sept. 4, Oklahoma on Sept. 19, Baylor on Sept. 26 and Alabama on Oct. 10.
A member of JL3 Elite on the EYBL, Jamison is averaging 20.5 points and 4.9 assists per game while shooting 35% from 3-point range across the first three sessions.
