Indiana Fever vs Sun: How many points did Caitlin Clark score tonight?

After a 14-point performance during the Indiana Fever’s dominant 102-83 win against the Dallas Wings on Sunday from Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Clark continued to put the ball in the basket in the Fever’s 85-77 Tuesday night win against the Connecticut Sun (3-19) from TD Garden in Boston, Mass.

While Clark saw her uncharacteristic struggles from beyond the arc continue on Tuesday, the former Hawkeye was able to put up 14 points on a 4-for-14 shooting effort from the field, 1-for-7 from 3-point territory, and 5-for-6 from the free-throw line in 28 minutes of action.

In addition to her scoring, Clark registered eight rebounds, seven assists, and one steal to wrap up her night.

Leading the team in scoring was Kelsey Mitchell, who posted 20 points on 8-for-13 shooting from the field and to go along with three assists, two rebounds, and one steal in 33 minutes.

While Clark put up a respectable total against the Sun, rapid health concerns developed late as Clark suffered an apparent right groin injury.

“No update. Just felt a little something in her groin, so we’ll get it evaluated and see what happens from there,” White said.

White wasn’t ready to make any declarations about Clark’s status on Wednesday night against the New York Liberty (14-6) from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

“We just take it one step at a time. She’s being evaluated. We’ll see where we are with that. Certainly, we’ll probably have another evaluation and conversation (Wednesday) and see where we are. This group has played without her. We have a tough opponent in New York. We have to get locked in and ready to compete,” White said.

Clark had just returned from a left groin injury on July 9 that had sidelined her for five games.

The Fever’s second game of a back-to-back on Wednesday against the Liberty will be the team’s final game before the WNBA All-Star break.

If Clark misses Wednesday night’s contest with a right groin injury, it will be the third different injury that has cost Clark games thus far during this 2025 WNBA season. Clark missed five games from May 28-June 10 with a left quadriceps injury.

Then, Clark missed five more games with a left groin injury from June 26-July 5.

Prior to her absences this season, Clark had played in 185 straight games across her college career at Iowa and the start of her WNBA career with the Fever.

Clark was scheduled to take part in the WNBA 3-Point Contest on Friday at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis as part of All-Star Weekend. Of course, Clark is also one of the team captains for the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. CT on ABC.

Wednesday’s game against New York is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
