Iowa native Teagan Kavan and the Texas softball team have advanced to the super regionals of the 2026 NCAA Division I softball tournament, marking one step closer to repeating as Women’s College World Series national champions.
The Dowling Catholic alum and Longhorns are coming off a series of dominant performances in the regionals, going 3-0 and outscoring opponents Wagner, Wisconsin and Baylor by a combined 25-1 and ending the first two games early by run rule.
Texas (45-10) entered the NCAA Tournament as the No. 2 seed after the Longhorns won their first SEC softball tournament championship over No. 1 Alabama.
