The Indiana Fever (5-5) dropped the first contest of its two-game road swing, falling at the New York Liberty, 83-75.
Caitlin Clark scored 10 points on 4-of-14 shooting, including 2-of-6 from 3-point range. Clark added nine assists and seven rebounds.
But, Indiana watched a 57-45 lead with 3:27 left in the third quarter slip away. The Fever also led the Liberty (7-4), 66-62, midway through the fourth quarter.
Liberty forward Breanna Stewart made 18-of-21 free throws and scored 30 points to lead the New York comeback. The Liberty shot 40 free throws compared to the Fever’s 15 free-throw attempts.
