Following an impressive 94-86 road win over the Dallas Wings in front of a capacity crowd of 20,409 on Friday night at American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever (8-8) head north for a Tuesday night game against the league-leading Minnesota Lynx (14-2) in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup final at Target Center from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
While Clark has missed the previous two games with a left groin injury, the star guard was listed as questionable on the team’s league-mandated injury report on Monday. This injury designation is certainly promising for Indiana, which needs to be consistent on offense against a Minnesota squad that has averaged 87.3 points per game over the past three contests and 85.3 points on the season.
If Clark can play against Minnesota, she will need to have a much better performance against the Lynx than she did in her three games before her going on the shelf. In that three-game span, the former Hawkeye scored a combined 30 points on an ugly 13-for-47 shooting performance from the floor and a blistering cold 1-for-23 from beyond the arc.

As for Minnesota, the Lynx enter Tuesday’s game as one of the WNBA’s hottest teams. They finished the month of June with an 8-2 record, capped by a 102-63 drubbing of the Connecticut Sun on Sunday.
The Lynx are led offensively by forward Napheesa Collier, who averages 24.4 points per contest on 52.5% shooting from the field, 39.6% from 3-point territory and 94.3% from the line through 13 games played.
