Hawkeye fans react to first look at Iowa basketball newcomers

While Iowa basketball’s 2026-27 season remains about five months away, that did not stop Hawkeye fans from expressing their excitement for the new group of stars as the team began its first day of summer practice in Iowa City on Sunday.

Although the Hawkeyes lost some key members from their team that advanced to the Elite Eight of the 2026 NCAA Tournament this past spring, Iowa did bring in a handful of talented names in Ethan Harris, Jaidyn Coon and transfer portal additions Andrew McKeever (Saint Mary’s) and Ty’Reek Coleman (Illinois State).
