After leading the Indiana Fever (10-7) to an 86-77 victory over the Phoenix Mercury (5-13) on June 22, Caitlin Clark set another WNBA record. Clark registered her sixth consecutive game with at least 20 points and five assists, which is now the longest such streak in WNBA history.
Despite coming up one assist shy of her fifth double-double of the season in the win over Phoenix, Clark contributed 24 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the floor, 3-of-10 shooting from 3-point land.
This six-game streak increases her season averages to 21.3 points, 8.2 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game on 42.6% shooting, 33.1% from 3-point distance, and 84.5% at the charity stripe through 15 games. Currently, she is third in the league in scoring, second in assists, and the only player in the top five in both categories.
Clark and the Fever clash against the Mercury for the second consecutive game from inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday night, with tipoff set for 6:30 p.m. on USA Network.
