Things were already shaping up to be an incredible All-Star weekend for Indiana Fever fans. The game and festivities are in Indianapolis, Caitlin Clark was named a captain and three Fever players made the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game roster.
Fans got even more excited after today’s announcement from the WNBA.
The league released the contestants for the 2025 WNBA 3-point Contest at this weekend’s All-Star break and it’s a star-studded group, including Caitlin Clark. Last season, Clark was invited to do the 3-point contest and declined the offer.
Clark will join the competition this season and look to win in front of her home fans.
Who else is in the WNBA 3-point Contest?
Clark is joined in the competition by Sonia Citron, Allisha Gray, Kelsey Plum and Sabrina Ionescu. This is a stacked group of participants, with Gray winning last years contest and Clark, Plum and Ionescu being well-known for their 3-point shooting prowess.
Here’s a look at each participant’s 3-point shooting percentages this season and in their careers.
Ever since Clark returned from her injury, she’s struggled with her 3-point shot as her percentage has dipped under 29% for the season. Clark’s home and road splits have been especially concerning when it comes to her shot.
Clark is shooting 27-for-69 (39.1%) from three in eight home games this season. Clark is 1-of-28 (3.6%) from three in four road games this season. That’s a concerning trend that needs to get better if the Fever want to make a run, but Clark will get to compete at home for this competition, which bodes well for her chances.
Clark will have a chance to raise that road 3-point percentage when the Fever wrap up the first half of the season with road games against the Connecticut Sun and New York Liberty.
The game against the Sun is scheduled for Tuesday night at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN. The matchup with the Liberty will be Wednesday night with a 6:30 p.m. tipoff on CBS Sports Network. Hawkeye fans can stay updated on those games right here on Hawkeyes Wire.
