Pacers star — but injured — point guard Tyrese Haliburton could join a list that includes Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Wilt Chamberlain … even if he doesn’t want to be on it.
Jordan and James, of course, are arguably the two best players in NBA history.
Chamberlain and Curry are two of the most transformative players ever.
So why would Haliburton not want to be included with four of the greatest players in NBA history?
Those four players were a big part of the NBA Finalists that had the WORST record the following season. The Pacers are currently 1-10, a .091 winning percentage, which would be the worst by an NBA finalist. Here are the others:
The Pacers have been hammered by injuries beyond Haliburton, of course, and some of those players are returning so it’s unlikely they’ll be THIS bad all season.
But it will be interesting to watch how much better the Pacers get and the reflection of just what Haliburton’s combination of outside shooting and passing means to this franchise.
