Could Mark Cuban have split allegiances?
The billionaire businessman and Indiana University alumnus attended the Hoosiers’ game at UCLA wearing a shirt declaring himself a UCLA dad. His daughter, Alyssa Cuban, is a freshman Bruins rower.
The sleeve of that shirt stated his IU link. He started donating to the IU athletic department in 2024 after football coach Curt Cignetti’s first season.

IU’s run to the football national championship inspired him to beef up his donation.
He bought into Broadcast.com in the 1990s to listen to IU basketball games on the fledgling internet. He later sold his shares for billions and has since owned the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and become a household name on TV’s “Shark Tank.”
