The Notre Dame football team continues its quest to keep its College Football Playoff hopes alive after an 0-2 start.
The Fighting Irish (3-2) host their first ACC opponent in NC State (4-2). The Irish were ranked 16th in the US LBM coaches rankings, gaining five spots after a third straight win.
Freshman quarterback CJ Carr has completed 67.7% of his passes for 1,280 yards, 11 touchdowns and two interceptions. Jeremiyah Love has not only gotten in done on the ground, 444 yards rushing and six touchdowns, but has also caught 14 passes for 160 yards and a team-high three touchdowns. Jadarian Price adds 356 yards rushing and seven touchdowns, adding a 35-yard screen pass touchdown.
The Wolfpack already have a win over a ranked Virginia team but they have lost their last two games against FBS opponents in Duke and Virginia Tech.
