The IHSAA girls basketball season is over, and that means it’s time for you to cast your vote for The Star Press Girls Basketball Player of the Year Fan Vote, brought to you by IU Health.
Last season’s Player of the Year was Delta then-junior Jillian Barr, who averaged 16.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, four steals, 2.4 blocks and 1.7 assists per game as she led the Eagles to their first girls basketball regional title in school history. Now a senior, Barr is nominated again this season after becoming the all-time leading scorer in Delta girls basketball history.
This year’s 10 nominees for The Star Press Girls Basketball Player of the Year include multiple record breakers and champions. The fan vote is only one-third of the process to determine The Star Press Girls Basketball Player of the Year. The other two-thirds are determined by The Star Press staff and feedback from area coaches.
The poll will remain open until noon Friday, March 13. You may vote one time per hour, per device. This means if you have a phone, tablet and computer to vote from, you may vote three times per hour. Please vote using the poll below — votes submitted via email will not be counted.
