Seth Larimer of Sturgis voted as Athlete of the Week, presented by Glen Oaks CC

STURGIS — Seth Larimer of Sturgis has been voted as the Athlete of the Week, presented by Glen Oaks Community College.

Larimer was nominated for the award by qualifying for the individual MHSAA state finals. He earned a state cut time of 200 individual medley race with a time of 2:12.19 and finished fifth overall in the conference finals.

There were 36,663 total votes cast this past week. Larimer earned 14,425 of those, for 39.34 percent of the total ballots cast. Finishing second was teammate Gavan Miller, he had 7,545 total votes for 20.58 percent of the votes.

Jayna Larson (4,958) had 13.52 percent, Dani Glass (4,954) had 13.51 percent and Angela Cary (4,781) finished with 13.04 percent of the votes cast.

The athlete of the week voting takes place weekly for us, presented by our good friends out at Glen Oaks Community College. The new poll will be posted on Tuesday.
