The 2026 Indiana Fever schedule is here! Caitlin Clark's return, Aces rematch, more

INDIANAPOLIS — After some delay, the Indiana Fever 2026 schedule is here.

The Fever, along with the rest of the teams in the WNBA, released its 44-game 2026 schedule on Wednesday afternoon. The schedule drop comes as the league and the players’ union are still in flux over a new collective bargaining agreement, which could affect the 2026 season if negotiations continue into May.

As of right now, however, the Indiana Fever are slated to open their season on May 9 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse against the Dallas Wings, who hold the No. 1 pick in the 2026 draft.

That game will feature the last four No. 1 picks, including the Fever’s Aliyah Boston (2023) and Caitlin Clark (2024) and Dallas’ Paige Bueckers (2025).

Indiana will have two four-game homestands, from May 15-22 and July 15-22, as well as five multi-game road trips.

The Fever play the expansion Portland Fire for the first time on May 20 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, then visit Portland on May 30 as part of a two-game West Coast trip that also includes the Golden State Valkyries on May 28.

Indiana will first play the league’s other 2026 expansion team, the Toronto Tempo, on June 16 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Fever will make two trips to Toronto after that, including one game at Scotiabank Arena, home of the NBA’s Raptors, and one game at Coca-Cola Coliseum.

Indiana will also only play the Chicago Sky, their closest geographical opponent, three times in 2026 after playing them five times in 2025. Chicago will only make one trip to Gainbridge Fieldhouse on June 11, while the Fever will visit them at the United Center, home of the NBA’s Chicago Bulls, on Aug. 8 and Wintrust Arena on Aug. 23.

There is a two-week break in the league schedule from Aug. 31-Sept. 16 for the FIBA Women’s World Cup in Berlin, Germany. Both Boston and Clark have taken part in USA Basketball camps for the World Cup, and Fever coach Stephanie White has been an assistant on Kara Lawson’s staff.

Indiana will finish the season playing Minnesota for the second straight year. The Fever and Lynx will have a back-to-back to end the regular season, playing at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Sept. 22 and Target Center on Sept. 24.
