A Granger man was released from the hospital after being injured in a shooting in Mishawaka’s Normain Heights neighborhood. At least one person on the scene during in the incident was taken to the police department for questioning, police say.
The Mishawaka Police Department responded to the 200 block of Ardennes Avenue around 8:45 p.m. June 10, finding a 18-year-old man with a gunshot injury to his hip, the police department said in a June 11 press release. The man was treated at a local hospital and later released, police said.
Several people were on the scene, including at least one person who was taken to the police department to be interviewed by detectives, the department said.
Police classified this shooting as an isolated incident, and it remains under investigation.
