RICHMOND, IN — Here are the most recent Wayne County Health Department food establishment inspections that found violations, as of Aug. 3.
Best Western Classic Inn, 533 W. Eaton Pike, Richmond, cited for the orange juice machine “observed dirty and in need of cleaning” and no stem-type thermometer provided at the time of inspection.
1896 Cafe, 25 W. Main St., Hagerstown, was cited with eight violations, including large holes in the walls of food preparation areas, a box of soda syrup stored directly on the floor, and three wiping cloths stored on countertops rather than in a container of sanitizer when not in use.
Burger King, 4360 National Road E., Richmond, was cited for five flies observed in the food preparation facility, rear delivery door open for no reason, and employees preparing and packaging food not wearing hair or beard restraints.
Paul’s Mart, 1307 Sheridan St., Richmond, was cited for ice machine observed dirty and in need of cleaning.
Phillips Family Grill, 231 N. 10th St., Richmond, was cited for chicken in the reach-in cooler observed with no date mark.
Dollar General, 820 S. N St., Richmond, was cited for “Shelving within milk cooler is heavily soiled with a mold-like substance.”
Dairy Queen West, 1700 W. National Road, Richmond, was cited for “Employee working with food without beard restraint or hat.”
Cambridge City Super Market, 100 N. Foote St., Richmond, was cited for observed hand sink in veggie prep was obstructed with plastic container, and nine cans of Enfamil infant formula had a used-by date of June 1.
