It’s pretty safe to say that Notre Dame football could go a quite a recruiting heater.
The Irish just had their first official visit weekend of the summer, and it very much looks like things could not have gone better. A projection for defensive tackle Brayden Parks happened while he was on campus, and then on Monday another Illinois prospect, linebacker Roman Igwebuike also is believed to be leaning toward Notre Dame.
On3’s Steve Wiltfong, one of the more connected experts in the recruiting world put in his prediction for the 6-foot, 3-inch and 220-pounder to eventually commit to the Irish. He’s ranked as the nation’s No. 137 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite, and would be a fantastic addition to Notre Dame’s 2027 class.
Igwebuike still has an official visit scheduled to Tennessee this weekend, and we’ll soon find out if the projection sticks or if he’s now thinking about being a Volunteer.
