WEST LAFAYETTE — Purdue women’s basketball is tapping into the world of FIBA basketball for its latest commitment.
Israel native Maya Zilbershlag announced her commitment to Purdue on Sunday afternoon and confirmed by sources within Purdue Athletics.
Zilbershlag, 17, averaged 18.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists during the U18 Eurobasket this past summer and is considered among one of the top 10 prospects in FIBA. At 5-foot-11, she’s played for Maccabi Bnot Ashdot.
Zilbershlag is the third overseas commitment expected to join Purdue for 2026-27 season with guard Keona Douwstra (Netherlands) and Katarina Sediva, a 6-foot-1 forward from Slovakia.
Purdue is expected to have four overseas players on its roster alongside Israel native Hila Karsh.
