Purdue football receiver downgraded to out for season

WEST LAFAYETTE — Purdue football will need its best Saturday against top-ranked Ohio State.

The Boilermakers enter relatively healthy aside from the known absences of running back Devin Mockobee and tight end George Burhenn, while receiver De’Nylon Morrissette has yet to play this season.

Chauncey Magwood was downgraded to out for the season after missing the past three games.

The transfer receiver from Central Florida, who began his career at Kentucky, played two games (Illinois and Minnesota) for the Boilers, catching two passes for 17 yards.

Though Mockobee is not listed as out for the season on the Big Ten availability report ahead of the 1 p.m. kickoff at Ross-Ade Stadium, head coach Barry Odom said on Monday his season is over.
