While head coach Marcus Freeman took the headlines on Monday with his weekly press conference, Notre Dame also released its depth chart for this weekends game against Purdue.
There doesn’t look to be any changes to the two-deep, as the Irish will roll with who they have been over the first two games. Safety Adon Shuler will missed the first half after a targeting call on him during the Texas A&M game, so expect Tae Johnson to start over him.
As for the injury report, Notre Dame could be without star cornerback Leonard Moore, who injured his ankle, and also might not see another corner in DeVonta Smith miss the game as well. The transfer tried to give it a go against the Aggies, but following pregame warmups, the coaching staff decided to have him sit out the game.
There is one other injury that could push another into a bigger role, as kicker Noah Burnette is battling a hip injury. It could open the door for either Erik Schmidt or Marcello Diomede to get an opportunity against the Boilermakers. Aside from that, the Irish are pretty injury free as they get ready to host Purdue this weekend.
