Notre Dame Fighting Irish football quarterback CJ Carr went on The Rich Eisen show to talk about what to expect from him and the Irish in 2026.
Carr referred to lessons learned from a year in which the Irish were controversially shut out of the playoffs with just two losses — including a heartbreaking one-point loss to Texas A&M at home.
“We’re gonna use all those lessons that we have learned to propel us forward this next upcoming year,” Carr said.
Carr also said that the mantra for the 2026 Notre Dame Fighting Irish is “leave no doubt.” That’s a reference to last year, since the Irish put their playoff fate in others’ hands. If Notre Dame wins every game, or perhaps loses only once, there will be no doubt the Irish belong in the playoff.
