One Monroe County road will be closed for a time each day during the coming week, April 6-10. A much longer road closure will begin in June along a portion of Rockport Road.
Road closure
Bennett Lane between Popcorn Road and end of county maintenance will be closed at 9388 S. Bennett Lane moving southward from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, April 6, through Friday, April 10, for culvert replacement.
Upcoming road closing
Rockport Road between Cockrell Road and Bolin Lane will be closed from June 2026 through November 2026 for bridge reconstruction. More information and specific dates will be released by county officials soon.
Lane restrictions
Kerr Creek Road between Ind. 46 and Gettys Creek Road will have lane restrictions with traffic control 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, April 6.
Curry Pike between Jonathan Drive and Profile Parkway will have lane restrictions with traffic control 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, April 7.
De Ann Drive between Craig Drive and end of county maintenance will have lane restrictions with traffic control 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, April 8.
Rogers Street between Baywood Drive and That Road will have lane restrictions with traffic control 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, April 9.
High water closings
High water closings in Monroe County will change, due to weather conditions. Do not cross water-covered roads. As of Friday, April 3, these were the county roads closed due to flooding:
Monroe County officials remind drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones. All closings are weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
