Marian University has named Steve Drabyn its basketball coach.
Drabyn comes to the Knights from Bethel, a Crossroads League rival that won three games in the National Christian College Athletic Association tournament in 2026. The Pilots also made the NAIA national tournament.

Drabyn owns a 118-61 record over seven seasons with Bethel. He was a 2000 Indiana All-Star at LaPorte High School and played for Belmont.
“This is a professional opportunity for me at a great institution that has everything in place to be successful at a high level. I’m completely at peace with my decision,” Drabyn told the South Bend Tribune.
Drabyn’s parents live in Avon and three siblings live in the Indianapolis area.
Marian is coming off a 5-23 season that included the early departure of coach Pat Knight.
