Hendricks pulled a pistol and continued the fight while brandishing the gun, police said.

The 23-year-old man suffered facial injuries and was taken to a Lafayette hospital for treatment, police said.

Hendricks left before police arrived, but he later turned himself in at the police department, police said.

Officers jailed Hendricks on suspicion of battery with a deadly weapon, criminal recklessness, intimidation, pointing a firearm and obstruction of justice, according to jail records.
