Last-minute Easter brunch reservation? These spots have you covered

With less than a week until Easter Sunday, April 5, reservations are filling up at restaurants around Indianapolis. But it isn’t too late to snag a table for one of the biggest days in brunch, even if the Final Four will likely bring larger-than-expected crowds to the city.

Whether you’re looking for a casual walk-in breakfast, expansive buffets or high-end cocktail menu, these central Indiana eateries have you covered.

Bob Evans

Where: Multiple Indianapolis-area locations

Reservations: No reservations, but walk-ins accepted. Delivery and takeout available.

The national homestyle breakfast chain will accept walk-in guests on Easter Sunday. Bob Evans will also offer hot and cold-packed takeout or delivery versions of its “Farmhouse Feast,” which features dishes like ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, stuffing and green beans. The feast feeds between four and 10 guests ($100 to $165) depending on the package. Guests can place a takeout or delivery order by calling the nearest Bob Evans or by visiting bobevans.com/menu/farmhouse-feast.

Commission Row

This Pacers-owned, Cunningham Restaurant Group-operated multi-level eatery just by Gainbridge Fieldhouse still has spots open for parties of five or fewer in its street-level steakhouse. The brunch buffet, served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Easter Sunday, includes a choice of three salads, assorted breakfast fare (made-to-order omelets, fruit, bread and pastries, pancakes, blueberry cream French toast, bacon and sausage), a lamb and prime rib carving station with sides, a seafood raw bar and a handful of dessert options. Adults dine for $79 each, while children 12 and under each eat for $21.

Dawson’s on Main

This longtime Speedway eatery will serve a special Easter menu from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The breakfast menu includes French toast ($15), biscuits and gravy ($15) and breakfast sandwiches ($15), plus lunch options like salads ($7 to $15), 12-ounce prime rib ($35), bourbon-glazed sirloin ($23), sandwiches and burgers ($15) and beef stroganoff ($19) alongside many other American dishes. Desserts include lemon cake and German chocolate cake ($10), plus carrot cake and cheesecake ($7).

Garden Table

Reservations: Walk-in diners only.

Reservations are not accepted on weekends at this modern, open-concept brunch spot, so those willing to roll the dice on an open table — or possibly wait a while — can walk into any of Garden Table’s three locations (Broad Ripple, Carmel and Mass Ave). Garden Table offers a brunch menu, with familiar dishes like Eggs Benedict ($16), quiche ($15) and blueberry pancakes ($14) accompanying items like lamb bacon ($6 a la carte), poached pear salad ($14) and a selection of cold-pressed juices ($9 to $13).

Gather 22

Reservations: Strongly encouraged on the restaurant’s home webpage.

This Near Northside eatery still has seats open in its dining room, enclosed veranda and (weather permitting) outside patio Easter Sunday. Gather’s standard weekend brunch menu includes dishes like shakshuka ($14), a chorizo brunch burger ($20), vegan sweet potato hash ($17) and Byrne’s Grilled breakfast pizza ($21 to 24).

Kountry Kitchen

The storied Kennedy-King soul food spot will host an Easter brunch and karaoke event from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. The eatery’s Easter menu will include waffle and omelet stations, various Southern-inspired sides, a ham carving station, fried chicken and catfish, peach and blackberry cobblers and sweet tea, plus “additional brunch selections and seasonal favorites.” Tickets for adults cost $71.21 each and can be upgraded to include bottomless mimosas for $92.55. Seniors 65 and older eat for $60.54 ($81.88 with bottomless mimosas), children between 5 and 10 for $28.52 and children under 5 for free. Parties of six or more or individuals who are buying tickets separately but wish to be seated together should email info@910northevents.com with guests’ names to arrange seating.

The Oakmont

This Mass Ave restaurant offers a weekend brunch with high-end dishes like multi-topping pancake or bagel boards ($22), three-egg omelets ($14 to $15) and salads ($12 to $15), plus upscale renditions of other familiar breakfast staples. Guests can order alcoholic beverages from the Oakmont’s well-stocked bar.

Parkside Public House

Located just across from Garfield Park, this gastropub still has spots available for its Easter buffet at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The $26-per-person buffet includes Belgian waffles, eggs, bacon, Red Lobster-inspired cheddar bay biscuits with chorizo gravy, breakfast potatoes, toast, fruit salad, kale Caesar salad, charcuterie and crudité.

Provision

This upscale concept from the Cunningham Restaurant Group in the Ironworks Hotel will serve a special brunch menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Easter Sunday. The luxury lineup includes three appetizers served family-style (biscuits with honey butter and raspberry hibiscus jam, charred shrimp cocktail and deviled eggs with Japanese fish roe), a choice of entrée (short rib hash, frittata, crab Benedict or steak and eggs for an extra $10) and family-style servings of chocolate tart or ricotta donuts.

Provision’s brunch menu also features a kids menu that includes French toast with strawberries and maple syrup, scrambled eggs with bacon and a fruit cup. Adults dine for $50 each, while children under 10 eat for $15.

Sahm’s Restaurant and The Roost in Nora

This pair of Sahm’s Hospitality Group restaurants will offer identical buffets that include, among other items: pancakes, French toast, biscuits and gravy, meatloaf, steak kebabs, sliders, chicken wings and fingers, fruit and veggies, finger sandwiches and assorted sides and desserts. Seating at both restaurants is available from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tickets cost $34 for guests 12 and older, $17 for guests ages 6-12, $8 for guests 3-5 and free for younger children.

Oceanaire Seafood Room

This Minneapolis-based seafood restaurant, located just south of Monument Circle, will offer a three-course Easter brunch menu from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. that includes a choice of appetizer (salad, deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail, oysters or assorted pastries), a choice of entrée (lobster Benedict, crab cake sandwich, brioche French toast, a two-egg breakfast plate with meat and home fries or a smoked salmon plate) and a choice of dessert (raspberry cheesecake, Key lime pie or flourless chocolate torte). Each $59 ticket also comes with bottomless mimosas (non-alcoholic options included).

Rize

Each of the Cunningham Restaurant Group’s three northside brunch restaurants still has reservations available between 7 a.m. and early afternoon. Rize’s menu features staples like omelets ($15 to $17), Eggs Benedict ($17) and breakfast sandwiches ($15 to $18), plus salads and grain bowls ($14 to $18).

Rosie’s Place

Where: 1111 W. Main St., Carmel, (317) 668-7650, 68 N. 9th St., Noblesville, (317) 770-3322 and 610 S. Main St., Zionsville, rosiesplace.net

Reservations: Walk-ins and waitlisted customers only.

All three Rosie’s locations will be open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Easter Sunday serving the restaurant’s classic brunch menu and a handful of Easter specials including an omelet with prosciutto, roasted tomatoes, goat cheese and spinach, an egg sandwich with breakfast potatoes and French pancakes with lemon curd and raspberry compote, plus lavender honey mimosas. Rosie’s does not accept reservations, but guests can see wait times and secure a spot in line at any of the three locations the day of their visit.
