Notre Dame football had another huge recruiting weekend, as they added three new prospects to its 2026 class.
One of them was Arizona wide receiver Devin Fitzgerald, whose father Larry played in the NFL for 17 seasons and should find himself entering the Hall of Fame very soon. It was a proud moment for dad, as he went to social media to congratulate his son on his commitment to the Irish.
As any proud father would do, Larry started off by saying that he’s “so proud of the young man you’re becoming. Watching you grow, learn, and find your way has truly been one of the greatest blessings of my life.” He knows what it takes to dominate at the highest level, as he also mentioned that “it won’t always be easy,” getting to the top.
It’s a heartfelt message to his son as he tries to do the same thing his father accomplished, having a great collegiate career setting himself up to become even better at the next level. You can tell their bond is strong, and it’s great to have the Fitzgerald’s as part of the Notre Dame family.
