Indiana softball advances to third straight NCAA tournament. Opponent, time, date

The Indiana softball team will return to the NCAA tournament for the third straight year.

IU earned the No. 3 seed in the Fayetteville Regional. It will take place from May 16-18 at the University of Arkansas. The Hoosiers will play No. 2 seed Oklahoma State in their opening game at 4 pm Friday.

No. 1 seed Arkansas will play No. 4 seed Saint Louis after. The regional round is double elimination.

Indiana went 33-18 and reached the quarterfinals of the Big Ten tournament.

Taylor Minnick, a Bloomington native, leads IU with a .470 batting average. Minnick also has 70 hits, 16 home runs and 63 RBIs.
