Indiana football reveals national championship rings

BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football shared a first look on social media Friday afternoon of the national championship rings coaches and players will receive.

The Hoosiers also revealed the rings they will hand out for winning the Big Ten title game, Rose Bowl, Peach Bowl and CFP title game, along with details about what went into the design of each of them.

For the championship rings, the CFP trophy is prominently displayed with an ice football stone, the IU trident logo is made from custom cut red stones, the centerpiece stone is reversible (can be flipped to red or ice) and it follows a modern trend of having a mechanism allowing it to flip open with further detailing. There’s stones representing Jamari Sharpe’s interception and Fernando Mendoza’s touchdown run along with sand from Miami beaches on the inside.
