Indian food truck now open in Bloomington, Scenic View adds dinners

A new food truck has joined Bloomington Food Truck Friday. India N Appz will participate this summer, according to owner Sam Chaudhary.

Bloomington residents may have already tasted India N Appz cuisine since the food truck has been parked at 1320 E. Third St. from noon to midnight Monday through Saturday, for the past three months.

Chaudhary said India N Appz will participate in Food Truck Friday instead of being at its normal location. The food truck is an outgrowth of Chaudhary’s other business — the convenience store at the Third Street location. He noticed there weren’t many options in the area for Indian cuisine, so he developed the food truck.

He believes the kathi rolls are some of the best items on his menu. Kathi rolls are Indian street food that includes skewer-grilled meat (chicken, lamb) or vegetables (paneer, channa masala) put inside flatbread. Other options at India N Appz include chicken, lamb, paneer tikka or channa masala with rice; vegetable, chicken or egg fried rice; Indian street burgers; and appetizers including samosa, chicken wings, paneer pakora and aloo tikki (mashed potatoes with green peas and Indian spices).

Special drinks include mango lassi and chai. For more, call 812-345-8991.
