The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory that begins at noon Monday, June 30, and will remain in effect until 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 2.
According to NWS Indianapolis, heat index values of up to 108 degrees are expected this week around the state and we’ll see temperature highs in the 90s.
The hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat-related illnesses, so NWS advises Hoosiers take precautionary actions.
What counties are included in the heat advisory?
The Indiana counties included in the NWS heat advisory are: Carroll, Warren, Tippecanoe, Clinton, Howard, Fountain, Montgomery, Boone, Tipton, Hamilton, Madison, Delaware, Randolph, Vermillion, Parke, Putnam, Hendricks, Marion, Hancock, Henry, Vigo, Clay, Owen, Morgan, Johnson, Shelby, Rush, Sullivan, Greene, Monroe, Brown, Bartholomew, Decatur, Knox, Daviess, Martin, Lawrence, Jackson and Jennings.
