With the national average hovering close to $4 a gallon for a gallon of regular gas, on Friday the average cost for Hoosiers remained above $4, according to data from the American Automobile Association.

What’s the average cost of gas around Indiana?
As of Friday morning, the average statewide cost of a regular gallon of gas in Indiana was $4.049, according to AAA.
As of Friday morning, La Porte County in Northwest Indiana had the highest average price per gallon, according to AAA, at $4.233. The county with the lowest average was in Orange County, at $3.840.
