Colts NFL draft: Linebacker results from 2026 NFL combine

On Thursday of the NFL combine, the linebackers were one of the position groups to go through the on-field testing portion of the event. This position is a big need for the Indianapolis Colts this offseason.

The Colts enter the offseason short on experienced depth outside of Zaire Franklin, not to mention that a greater coverage presence is needed at this position as well.

Chris Ballard has said a few times that he wants to get younger and faster on defense this offseason, and the front seven will be prioritized in the coming months.

“The draft we think it’s good on the defensive side of the football, especially in the front seven,” Ballard said at the NFL combine. “But it’s a definite area that we need to address.”
