Morocco Brown’s departure has led to a few changes within the Colts scouting department.
The Colts parted ways with chief personnel executive Morocco Brown last week, and on Wednesday, they announced a string of other moves.
Indianapolis has promoted Chris McGaha from area scout to national scout with a focus on the west coast, Kasia Omilian from NFS assistant to area scout with a focus on the west coast, Gregory Liverpool III from scouting assistant to area/pro scout and Tanner Chastain from scouting assistant to NFS scout. The team also hired Skylar Hillmann and Joe Tsaiho as scouting assistants.
Of the group, McGaha and Omilian have been here the longest. McGaha is in his 16th season, with the past eight spent scouting the West Coast. Omilian has spent her six seasons in Indianapolis in a few roles, including the past three as the first female NFS scout the franchise has had.
The shuffles come within the same basic power structure that has existed at the top since 2017 under general manager Chris Ballard and assistant general manager Ed Dodds. Brown is the one high-ranking executive to depart, following eight seasons with the front office, with the first five as the team’s director of college scouting.
The franchise just transitioned ownership following Jim Irsay’s death to his three daughters. Carlie Irsay-Gordon will serve as owner and CEO and will be the team’s principal owner. Casey Foyt will be owner and executive vice president. Kalen Jackson will be owner and chief brand officer, and she’ll also be the president of the Colts foundation.
