Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 40 Days of Peace opportunities
Each year, Americans nationwide answer the call to come together on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day to serve their neighbors and communities. If you didn’t have time to volunteer on MLK Day this year, no problem! There are plenty of opportunities available to volunteer during the 40 Days of Peace, which stretches from Jan. 20-Feb. 29, 2026.

Reading tutor volunteer
Stone Belt Arc strives to prepare, empower and support people with intellectual/developmental disabilities to live their best life in partnership with the community. Reading volunteers would sit alongside adult(s) with disabilities one-on-one and work on reading skills. This is an ongoing weekly or bi-weekly (every other week) volunteer opportunity.

Boys & Girls Club: Club Tutor
You can make a difference for a child in our community by becoming a Club Tutor at any of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington locations. Help a child learn and close gaps in their math or language arts knowledge during after school hours. Tutor training and task support will be provided.
