Bloomington area high schools offering dozens of youth sports summer camps

Looking for a sports camp for your child this summer?

Here’s a list of camps being held by the coaching staffs at Bloomington area high schools North, South, Edgewood, Lighthouse Christian and Seven Oaks. Check back often for updates. Coaches, AD’s to include your camp email us the details at sports@heraldt.com.

BASEBALL

Cougar Baseball Camp

DATES: June 15-18 (9-noon) for middle school (2025-26 school year) and June 22-25 (9-noon) for grades K-6. Camps will take place at the North High School field.

DESCRIPTION: Improve your throwing, catching, fielding, and hitting fundamentals. Participants willplay in game competition. Emphasis will be placed on fundamentals and fun. North head coach RichardHurt will direct the camp along with assistant coaches and North players. Campers should wear t-shirts, baseball or sweat pants and cap and bring a baseball glove, bat (if you have one), molded cleats or gym shoes (no metal spikes).

COST: $110 for one child, $200 for two, $285 for three family members. Each camper will receive a t-shirt. Make checks payable to Cougar Baseball Camp. To get a registration form or for more information, call Hurt at 812-330-7831 or 812-336-8720.

BASKETBALL

Eastern Greene Girls Basketball/Volleyball Camps

DATES: June 1-4. Basketball (at the Elementary school gym) — 3:30-4:30 p.m. for grades 6-8; 4:45-5:45 p.m. for grades K-2; 6-7 p.m. for grades 3-5. Volleyball (at the Middle School gym) — 3:30-4:30 for grades K-2; 4:45-5:45 p.m. for grades 3-5; 6-7 p.m. for grades 6-8.

COST: $25 for one sport or $40 for both, includes a t-shirt. Payment can be by cash, check, or Eventlink pay. Walk-ups on the first day are accepted. For more information, contact Nathan Martindale at nmartindale@egreene.k12.in.us.

Edgewood Girls Basketball Camp

DATES: Grades 1-4 — May 27 (3-4:30 p.m.), May 28-29 (8-9:30 a.m.). Grades 5-8 — May 27 (4:45-6:30 p.m.); May 28-29 (9:45-11:30 a.m.).

COACH: Noah Stuckey.

Lighthouse Christian Boys Basketball Camp

DATES: June 22-25 (9-noon) at the LCA gymnasium for grades K-8.

DESCRIPTION: Campers should wear athletic shoes and clothing and bring a water bottle.

COST: $60. Register at golcalions.com/registrations by June 15 to guarantee a t-shirt.

Lighthouse Christian Girls Basketball Camp

DATES: June 15-20 at the Lighthouse gymnasium (9-10:30 for grades 3-5 and 10:30-noon for grades 6-8.

DESCRIPTION: Campers should wear athletic shoes and clothing and bring a water bottle.

Seven Oaks Boys Basketball Camp

DATES: June 23-25 (6-8 p.m.) for grades 3-8 at the Seven Oaks gymnasium.

FOOTBALL

Bloomington South Youth Football Camp

DATES: June 22-24 (4-6 p.m.) for grades K-6.

DESCRIPTION: Bloomington South head coach Gabe Johnson and his varsity staff will be hosting a youth football camp at the South football field with with an emphasis on teaching football fundamentals. No prior playing experience is required! Campers should wear athletic clothing (shirt, shorts, cleats or tennis shoes) and bring a water bottle.

COST: $60 (make check payable to Bloomington South QB Club). Arrive early on Day 1 to register. To obtain a registration form, contact Johnson at gjohnson@mccsc.edu.

Edgewood Football Camp

DATES: June 15-18 (10-noon for grades 1-8).

DESCRIPTION: Instructed by head coach Scott Fischer, his coaching staff and current Edgewood varsity football players. Campers will receive position-specific instruction in football techniques and skills utilized by the Edgewood youth, middle school, JV, and Varsity programs. Throughout camp, campers will learn about the fundamentals, team-building, and fun!

SOCCER

Bloomington North Soccer Camp

DATES: June 22-23 (9-11 a.m./Noon-2 p.m.) for boys and girls ages 8-14 at the North football/soccer field.

DESCRIPTION: This camp will help players improve their technical skills, have fun and be challenged. Our experienced staff will lead age-appropriate activities while teaching players through demonstration and coaching during sessions. Campers will have the opportunity to meet and work with current players from both the boys and girls high school teams. Campers should bring ball, shin guards, lunch and water.

Edgewood Co-Ed Soccer Camp

DATES: June 17-19 (9-11:30 a.m.) for grades 3-8 (2026-27 school year).

Edgewood Girls Soccer Camp

DATES: June 1-3 (8:30-10 a.m.) for girls grades 3-8 (2026-27 school year).

COACH: Brittany Tucker.

Lighthouse Christian Soccer Camp

DATES: June 2-5 (9-noon), for boys in grades 2-8 at the school.

Seven Oaks Boys Soccer Camp

DATES: June 29-31 (4-5:30 p.m.) for grades K-6 at Karst Farm Field No. 2.

COST: $30 per individual, $50 for a family.

SOFTBALL

Bloomington North Softball Summer Camp

DATES: June 15-18 (10 a.m.-noon) for grades K-6 at the North softball field.

DESCRIPTION: Camp run by North’s coaches and players will emphasize fundamentals, skill development, team-building exercises, fitness and conditioning drills, and friendly competition.

Bloomington South Summer Softball Camp

DATES: June 8-10 (9-11 a.m.) for grades 3-8.

DESCRIPTION: The Bloomington South softball team is offering a summer camp this year at the South field. This is a great opportunity for younger softball athletes to work on the fundamentals while interacting with our coaches and players. We have a limited number of spots to maximize instruction. So please register early. Players should bring softball gear (glove, bat, helmet, catching gear, batting gloves) and a water bottle. Please wear tennis shoes, turf shoes or molded cleats (no metal spikes).

Edgewood Tennis Camp

DATES: Jun 8-10 (8-9 a.m. for grades 3-5; 9:30-10:30 a.m. for grades 6-8).

VOLLEYBALL

Bloomington North Boys Volleyball Camp

DATES: Youth camp, July 7-8 (9:30-11 a.m.) for grades 5-9. Elite Camp, July 22 (9:30-11 a.m.), open to incoming freshmen. Both in the BHSN Auxiliary Gym.

DESCRIPTION: Campers will work on learning the sport, the fundamentals of the game, and the importance of team sports and community building.

COST: $75 for Youth Camp, $60 for Elite Camp, both include a t-shirt. Deadline is June 20. Register at BHSNathletics.com. For more information, contact coach Charles Cook at CharlesRichardCook@gmail.com.

Bloomington North Total Skills Youth Volleyball Camp

DATES: June 15-17 (9-noon), for boys and girls going into grades 3-9 at the BHSN main gym.

DESCRIPTION: Camp is designed for beginners and young athletes with a focus on fundamental skills in a fun, high-energy environment that builds confidence and skill. Ideal coach-to-player ratio for maximum feedback and instruction. Campers should wear t-shirts, shorts/spandex and athletic shoes. Kneepads recommended.

Bloomington North Elite Camp Series

DATES: June 10 (Ball Control Camp) and June 24 (Setter and Hitter Camp), 9-noon each day, for incoming boys and girls in grades 6-8 at BHSN main gym.
