The Indianapolis Colts announced that long-time kicker Adam Vinatieri will join the team’s Ring of Honor.
The ceremony will take place on Sunday, Oct 18, when the Colts face the Tennessee Titans at home.
Vinatieri was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame earlier this year as well.
He is the NFL’s all-time leader in career points. Vinatieri also holds the record for most consecutive field goals made with 44, career field goals made with 599, and most postseason points as well.
After 10 years in New England, Vinatieri would spend 14 seasons with the Colts. With Indianapolis specifically, Vinatieri made 85.3 percent of his field goal attempts. In the playoffs, Vinatieri made 81.2% of those attempts.
He was a three-time Pro Bowler and a three-time All-Pro in his career. Vinatieri also won four Super Bowls, including one with the Colts in 2006.
Vinatieri will be the 21st member to join the Colts’ Ring of Honor.
