$5 movies coming to White River State Park starting in May

Heartland Film is partnering with a downtown Indianapolis attraction for the first time this summer to show five popular films for Movie Nights at White River State Park.

On select Thursdays from May through September, audiences can watch the flicks outdoors at Celebration Plaza at White River State Park, 801 W. Washington St. on Heartland Film’s mobile LED screen.

Here’s the lineup below. Before each feature, Heartland, which operates the Indy Shorts Film Festival in addition to its international film festival, will show a short that correlates to the theme of the main movie.

Tickets are $5, and a family pass — which includes up to eight people — is $20. Validated parking is available in the White River State Park garage as long as spaces last.

Gates open at 6:30 p.m., and the movies start at 7:30 p.m. Audience members can bring lawn chairs and blankets and buy snacks on site.
