We know who the Indianapolis Colts are playing during the 2026 season, and soon, we’ll find out what their exact schedule looks like.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFL will release the full schedule on May 14 — although I’m sure there will be some leaks before then.
On paper anyway, the Colts have one of the easier schedules in the NFL this season, based on their opponents’ projected win totals in 2026.
However, looking past who the opponent is, there are other factors that can impact the difficulty of a schedule, such as when the bye week is, how much rest your opponents have before facing you, and if there are any extended road trips.
We also know that each season, teams that are projected to be good struggle, and there are a few that always surprise.
However, beyond who the Colts are playing, this team has its own questions that have to be answered prior to the season or as it unfolds. This includes figuring out who WR3 is, what the pass rush rotation looks like, and if that unit can be more consistent, along with finding ways to be a more effective rushing offense after struggling to do so down the stretch last season.
The Colts prioritized re-signing Daniel Jones, operating under the belief that the success he and the team had through the first half of the season can be replicated. That said, this roster has undergone its share of turnover this offseason as well. But the big unknown is how much the Colts have actually improved.
