As part of its mission to provide transparency, the Journal Star is spotlighting the highest-paid public employees of municipalities in the area that participate in Illinois’ Municipal Retirement Fund.
State law requires those municipalities to publicly post a list of all employees who make more than $75,000 a year.
Here’s a look at the four highest-paid employees in Germantown Hills, according to records published by the village on its website:
1. Ann Doubet
Doubet fills a wide variety of roles for the village, from administrator to director of economic development to zoning officer to public information and FOIA officer. She made $110,801 in 2025.
2. Zack Hecht
Leader of the village’s public works department, Hecht made $83,200 in 2025.
3. Colten Smith
A lieutenant to Hecht, Smith had a salary of $56,680 in 2025.
4. Rich Brecklin
Brecklin works in the public works department under Hecht’s leadership. He made $54,085 in salary in 2025.
