The wait is over for Tuesday Evening in the Gardens, the summer concert series that combines live music and one of Rockford’s most popular tourist attractions.
All shows take place at Rockford’s renown Anderson Japanese Gardens, 318 Spring Creek Road.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Opening acts perform at 5:45 p.m. Headliners take the stage at 6:30.
The weekly summer concert series features local, regional and nationally touring musicians.

About Tuesday Evenings in the Gardens
Carry-in picnic suppers are welcome, and concessions will be available from Woodfire Pizza and Fresco and a rotation of food trucks along with beverages from Prairie Street Brewing Company or Carlyle Brewing Company. Dairyhäus, a homemade ice cream parlor based in Rockton, will return featuring weekly flavors.
Admission is free for premium garden members and children ages 5 and under. For basic garden members and others, admission is $13 for adults, $12 for seniors and $11 for students and members of military.
Tickets are sold on-site the day of the concert.
Off-site parking is available at UIC College of Medicine – Rockford, 1601 Parkview Ave., which offers complimentary shuttle service to/from the gardens. A new sidewalk along Parkview offers a safe walking alternative.
