There are high expectations surrounding the Chicago Bears heading into the 2025 season, where the defense has added a slew of new faces to help take the unit to the next level.
New head coach Ben Johnson brought in veteran defensive coordinator Dennis Allen to lead a unit with no shortage of talent, including cornerbacks Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon, defensive ends Montez Sweat and Dayo Odeyingbo, defensive tackles Gervon Dexter Sr., Grady Jarrett and Andrew Billings, linebackers T.J. Edwards and Tremaine Edmunds, as well as safeties Kevin Byard and Jaquan Brisker.
Allen has preached an aggressive style of defense that should fit these returning and new players well. While Chicago has one of the best secondaries in the NFL, they need to improve their pass rush, where the onus will be on Sweat and Odeyingbo to get it done.
