What: Elizabeth Carlson is a historian and performer with concentration in the domestic arts. For more than 30 years she has worked as a curator in small- to mid-sized museums. Ellie will give a presentation that will hopefully answer that question, “Why did women wear hats”? For centuries, women have adorned their heads and framed their faces with all kinds of head coverings. As a special treat, there will be sugar cookies decorated as ladies’ hats for all who attend.
