A pedestrian was killed Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle in Bartonville.
According to the Bartonville Police Department, officers responded to the 300 block of Keller Street after they received a report of a pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle. The pedestrian transported to OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, where they would later die from their injuries.
Illinois State Police’s Traffic Reconstruction unit was enlisted to help Bartonville police in investigating the crash, with that investigation still ongoing.
The identity of the deceased will be released by the Peoria County Coroner’s Office at a later time.
